Superbowl Sunday

It's a little depressing to log onto your blogger page and see all your friends post about Italy, Washington D.C., Disney World, and I'm here in my little town.  I talked to Amy (Italy) the other day and said, "Get me out of here!"  Really, I love my city, but sometimes you just need to get away.  Thank goodness Hawaii is only five (yes, count them, five) weeks away!  And though Groundhog Day was this week, the best part of Groundhog Day was realizing that my 21st birthday was exactly four months away, and I will be celebrating it in London with my mom.  Every young girl needs a trip to Europe with her mom, and I can't wait for mine!  England, Scotland, Wales, France...we will see you soon!

Anyway...today is Superbowl Sunday...the most important day of the year for caloric intake.  The sad part is I don't really care about the Pats or the Giants.  49ers, Broncos, Eagles, Cardinals, yes.  Pats and Giants, indifferent.  Good thing the commercials and half time don't change based on teams.

Madonna gave a much better performance than the Black Eyed Peas last year (I still shudder remembering their performance).  However, she's much too old to attempt acrobatics or shufflin' with LMFAO (Party Rock!).  And she can't spell.  When today's kinds under the age of 8 spell love L-U-V, I will blame Madonna's Superbowl XLVI Halftime performance.

As for the commercials, I happily welcomed Ferris back into my home. If you missed the Honda CR-V commercial, please watch.  But only also if you appreciate Ferris Bueller.
The other commercial I appreciated was Samsung's "I Believe in a Thing Called Love" remake.  Classic and entertaining.

However, I will never forget this one from last year (my all-time favorite commercial ever)
